Next Shows: Almost, Maine & Check Please

MA’s advanced drama class is proud to present two smaller-scale productions this spring:

Almost, Maine is a collection of nine short plays set in the fictional town of Almost, Maine. The New York Times calls it “…a series of nine amiably absurdist vignettes about love, with a touch of good-natured magic realism ... This is a beautifully structured play, with nifty surprise endings (most but not all of them happy) and passing references to characters from other vignettes, which slyly tell us more about them. Mr. Cariani describes the play’s subject as ‘falling in and out of love’. It is just as much about pain.” Shows are at 7pm on 4/18 and 4/20, and 4pm on 4/27

Check Please: Dating can be hard. Especially when your date happens to be a raging kleptomaniac, or your grandmother's bridge partner, or a mime. Check Please follows a series of blind dinner dates that couldn't get any worse -- until they do. Could there possibly be a light at the end of the tunnel? Shows are at 7pm on 4/19, 4/24, and 4/27, and 4pm at 4/20.

Shows will be in C-16 (drama room, not the PAC). Suggested donation $5 at the door.
